I first got into dance in Toronto during the late-nineties swing revival. After about a year of dancing Lindy, I took my first salsa dance class at Soles Dance Studio, and from that moment dance has been a very important part of my life. It has proven to be the basis of an active and dynamic social scene everywhere I've lived, and an opportunity for me to travel and perform at numerous events in various cities around the world.

Salsa has been a particularly integral part of my life during my time in the Bay Area. In addition to spending much of my social time at the numerous salsa clubs around the area, I performed with PB&G Salsa Productions in 2001 before co-founding and dancing with Tribu Nueva in 2002. More recently, I spent most of 2004/5 dancing with Mambo Romero Latin Dance Theater.

Presently I'm dancing with RicaSalsa Dance Company, and continue to be highly engaged in the social, physical, and creative aspects of dance. I also sporadically study other dance forms, including hip-hop, ballet, jazz, and modern dance.
